“In a recent post on X (platform), Mr. Modi had a conversation with the President of the Palestinian Authority, H.E. Mahmoud Abbas. During this exchange, he expressed his heartfelt condolences for the tragic loss of civilian lives at the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza. Mr. Modi also reaffirmed India’s commitment to providing ongoing humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people. He openly discussed his profound concerns regarding the escalating terrorism, violence, and deteriorating security situation in the region. Furthermore, Mr. Modi reiterated India’s steadfast and principled stance on the Israel-Palestine issue.”
Mr. Abbas heads the Palestinian Authority, which is headquartered in the West Bank city of Ramallah. The Gaza Strip, however, is controlled by the Hamas militant group. On October 17, the Israeli Military Forces bombed the Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza City.

India Sends Humanitarian Aid to Palestine
External affairs ministry spokesperson ‘Arindam Bagchi ‘ announced on X (twitter ) that the Indian Air Force C-17 flight carrying nearly 6.5 tonnes of medical aid and 32 tonnes of disaster relief material departed for the El-Arish airport in Egypt.
The loss of countless innocent lives, including children, in Gaza, along with the widespread deprivation of basic necessities such as food, water, and electricity, constitutes a grave violation of human rights.
